She loved working at the hospital, where she made many life-long friends.
She had many hobbies, such as sewing, quilting, crocheting, dancing, reading, and doing Sudoku puzzles. She loved meeting her friends for lunch and spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of almost 27 years, Emmett Floyd Horne, Jr., and her first husband of 22 years, Thomas R. Miles, Jr.
She is survived by her daughter, Daisy Lynn Vaughan (Ricky) of Chesterfield County, VA; son, Thomas R. Miles Ill (Kristy) of Disputanta, VA; granddaughters, Jennifer Ruslander (Richard), Jessica Vaughan, Brittany Jones (Forrest), Jenna Miles, and Erin Miles; great-granddaughters, Daphney and Jovie Ruslander, McKenna, Emerson, and Brynnlee Jones; great-grandson, Forrest Theodore Jones; and a second great-grandson expected in December. Many thanks to the doctors, nurses, and all the staff in the ICU Dept. of Bon Secours Southside Medical Center. Their loving, compassionate care of our mother was much appreciated.
