Nancy "Jean" Frazier, of Chester, VA, passed on Sunday, July 13, 2025. On the day of her passing, she went home with her Lord and Savior, and is now in the arms of her loving husband, with whom she will be buried with just as she wished.
She left behind a family that loved her dearly. But we find peace in knowing that she is finally free of her suffering and ailments, and is at peace with her husband, John Frazier, of 40 years. She is also preceded in death by her father, H. P. Acord; her mother, Delilah Reed and her husband, Herbert Reed; and her brothers, Frank Acord, Pierce Acord, Aubrey Acord, Kennie Acord, and Coy Acord.
She is survived by her siblings, Clarice Acord Bailey, Linda and Dewy Lilly, Eileen Stewart, Steve and Shirley Reed; and plenty of nieces and nephews, including great-great-nieces and nephews.
Her life was spent teaching and guiding her family in faith, and her love for children was recognized with her bright smile and laughter, always armed with pieces of candy and gifts for us all. She was born and raised in Oceana, West Virginia. She was a God-fearing woman who moved through life with the grace and stubbornness of a mule. Her zest for life and wisdom are something we will all miss.
As a family, we all hope to carry a piece of her in our hearts. She was an avid member of the Enon Church of God until her body couldn't handle every service anymore. The pain of her passing will echo in our hearts forever, just as the ones who preceded her in death. May we all use this time to get a little closer as a family and to God as she would've wanted us to.
The family will receive loved ones and friends during a visitation on Monday, July 21, 2025, at 10:00 AM, at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow the visitation at 11:00 AM, at the funeral home.
