Myrtle Mae Carden

Myrtle Mae Carden, 87, of Hopewell passed away on Wednesday, June 18, 2014. Born in Canada, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Turner and Louisa Hunt Stanley and was preceded in death by her husband, James Thomas Carden, 4 brothers and 7 sisters. Myrtle enjoyed quilting, sewing, cooking, gardening and spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren. She is survived by her children, Ricky Carden and his wife, Carol, Donna Williams and her husband, Don, Jared Carden and his wife, Patricia; grandchildren, Matthew and his wife, Gabby, Steven, Hunter, Dylan, Ryan; great-grandchildren, J. T., Niki, Emma; sister, Inis Taylor; numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 20, 2014 in Southlawn Memorial Park, with Rev. Darrell Boggs, officiating. The family is being served by the Hopewell Chapel of J. T.
