Myrtie Glynn Woodlief Daniel

Myrtie Glynn Woodlief Daniel, 96, of Hopewell, VA, passed away on January 30, 2025.

Born to the late Myrtie Glynn Hendrick Woodlief and Joel Gold Woodlief; she is also preceded in death by her Husband of 65 years, Nelson William Daniel; grandchild, Lindsey Blanchard; great-grandchild, Haley Messner; as well as, her siblings, Wallace Woodlief, Mabel Blackwell, Dollie Elliot, and Joel Woodlief.

Myrtie and Nelson were charter members of Powers Memorial Baptist Church. Holding various positions in the church, Myrtie had a special place in her heart for the nursery.

She is survived by her children, Nelson Wayne Daniel (Vivian), Alton C. Daniel (Bonnie), and Susan Blanchard (Mickey); grandchildren, Wendy Herrera (Cisco), Kelly Cusato (Steve), Alan Daniel (Laura), and Lauren Messner (Morgan); great-grandchildren, Bryce Messner, Brinley Messner, Connor Cusato, Caitlyn Cusato, Juliet Daniel, Will Daniel, and Katherine Harcourt (Robert); siblings, Ellen Clack and Kenneth Woodlief (Marie); sisters-in-law, Margaret Daniel, Goldie Woodlief, and Marie Woodlief; as well as, numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 11am, on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at Powers Memorial Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Appomattox Cemetery, Hopewell, VA. The family is being served by the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home.
