Milo Frederick Russell

Milo Frederick Russell, 93, passed away on Monday, December 22, 2014. He received his B.F. A. from Virginia Commonwealth University (then Richmond Professional Institute) in 1954, and his Master of Education degree from the University of Virginia in 1957. From 1958 to 1985 he was a full-time Professor in the Painting and Printmaking Department at Virginia Commonwealth University. He worked from 1985 until 2008 as a professor emeritus of painting at Virginia Commonwealth University. Mr. Russell was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Mayes Russell (formerly of Petersburg); and his parents, Frederick and Winifred McDermid Russell. He is survived by his daughter, Lynne R.
