Michael Hugh Smith Sr.

Michael Hugh Smith, Sr., 53, of Dewitt, VA passed away on February 1, 2015. Mr. Smith was the owner and operator of Home Repair Specialist, and was also an avid hunter. Michael was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son and brother. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Gina M. Smith; one son, Michael H. Smith, Jr. and wife, Kacie; a daughter, Shannon Smith Skeffington and husband, Ryan; four grandsons, Drake, Ashton, Brantley and Brodie; his parents, Joseph and Anita Smith; father and mother-in-law, Richard and Donna Barr; one sister, Rosemarie Permenter and husband, Tommy; numerous nieces and nephews; and many friends stretching from Maryland, Virginia and Florida. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 5, 2015 at the Dinwiddie Chapel of J.T. Morriss and Son Funeral Home. Interment will be private.
