Melvin Hargrave

Melvin W. Hargrave, 67, of Hayes, Virginia, formerly of Surry County, Virginia, passed away on Saturday January 7, 2012, at his residence. He was the son of the late Earl W. and Mattie Martha Morris Hargrave. He was a very loving husband, father, grandfather and brother. He was an avid gardener and hunter, a member of the Farmerâ??s Hunt Club, and a veteran of the USAF. He is survived by his wife, Betty A. Hargrave, sons Brian E. Hargrave and wife Kathy, Justin C. Hargrave and wife Natalie, grandchildren Stephanie, Haley, and Samuel Hargrave, all of Texas, sister Shelby H. Cook and husband Steve of Maryland, brothers William Earl Hargrave of Arizona and Ernest P. Hargrave of Surry County. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 10 at 1:00 PM at Rocky Hock UMC. Funeral services will be held following the visitation at 2:00 PM in the church.
