Melissa Joy Martin

Melissa Joy Martin, 28, of Hopewell passed away, Saturday, June 10, 2017. She is preceded in death by her father, Joseph W. Smith; and her grandmother, Alta Smith. She is survived by her loving husband, Brandon Martin; daughter, Shyanne Martin; mother, Lisa Smith; brother, James Smith and wife, Kaleah; brother, Denis Smith; sister, Heather Ward-Smith; grandmother, Linda and Dick Jerolman; grandmother, Mira Caudill; and grandfathers, T.R. Smith, Sr., Hansel Caudill and Peter Reny, as well as numerous extended family and friends. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., on Friday, June 16, 2017 at J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home, 820 W. Broadway, Hopewell, VA 23860. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Saturday, June 17, 2017 also at the funeral home.
