Matilda D. Pentecost, 86, of Hopewell passed away on Friday, October 7, 2011.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde G. Pentecost; parents, Salvatore and Marie DiAmbrosio; five brothers; and three sisters.
Matilda is survived by her son, Raymond Pentecost and his fiancée Wanda; two grandchildren, Victoria Pentecost, and Raymond Michael Pentecost; A special niece and nephew, Dorothy, and Nunzie; and several other nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
Matilda was a longtime member of St. James Catholic Church, and loved her music, the old classic movies, and spending time with her family and friends.
The family will receive friends from 7pm to 8:30pm on Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Service with a Rosary Service to be held at 7pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11am on Wednesday, October 12, 2011, at St. James Catholic Church with interment to follow at Appomattox Cemetery.
