Mary Anne Moore

Mary Anne Moore, 90, of Chester, VA, passed away on June 13, 2025. Born in North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Willie Dee Peacock and Mary Pearl Pendergrass Peacock. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband, Donald Holmes Moore; her son, Donald Craig Moore; her grandson, Craig Vaughan Lipford; her granddaughter, Amanda Lea Moore; and her brother, David Ellis Peacock.

Mary was a member of Chester Women of the Moose for many years, serving many offices and earning the Star Record and College of Regents honors. She loved to work outside on her garden in earlier years. Mary loved to play poker and delighted in sharing the game with her loved ones on family nights.

Mary is survived by her daughter, Karen A. Gravely (Wayne); her grandchildren, Sarah Francis (Joe) and Chrissy Moore; and her great-grandchildren, Colton Logan, CaeZar Coleman, Liam Francis, and Ada Francis.

All services will be private. The family is being served by the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home.
