Martha Lee Madison Romaine

Martha Lee Madison Romaine, 96, of Petersburg, passed away on Thursday, November 7, 2013. She was the daughter of the late Randolph and Martha Morris Madison, and also was preceded in death by her husband, Worthington Romaine. Martha Lee was a life-long resident of Petersburg and a devoted member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church. She is survived by three daughters, Martha Romaine Williams, Elizabeth Patteson Romaine, and Polly Romaine Williamson; grandchildren, Martha Romaine Meade, Raymond Gill Williamson, Jr. and his wife, Karen, Elizabeth Romaine Compton, John Worthington Williamson and his wife, Genna; great-grandchildren, Madison Leigh Williamson, Raymond Gill Williamson, III, Elise Porter Williamson, Grace Romaine Compton, Ashley Elizabeth Compton, Hunter James Williamson, Ryan Meade Price, and Taylor Meade Price. A graveside service will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 9, 2013 in Blandford Cemetery with The Reverend Rick Greenwood officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Merchant’s Hope Church, 11500 Merchant’s Hope Rd., Prince George, VA 23860.
