Martha Mills Davis

Martha Mills Davis, of Hopewell, died Saturday, July 13, 2013. Mrs. Davis was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota and was the daughter of the late Charles Burdick and Mildred Mansfield Mills. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Temple Davis. She was a member of the Nathaniel Cawsey Garden Club, First Baptist Church, and fifty-five years in the Friday Bridge Club. She was also a past patron for the James River Ball and former member of the Junior Women’s Club. She is survived by two daughters, Adele Mansfield Davis Aycock and husband, Charles, of Murfreesboro, NC, and Susan Archer Davis Myers of Hopewell; four grandchildren, Charles Ray “Tripp” Myers of Hopewell, Rebecca Adele Aycock Brown, McKenzie Davis Myers, and William Charles “Will” Aycock, all of Richmond, VA, and a great-granddaughter, Audrey Bryn Brown, also of Richmond.
