Marlene Caudle Jinkins, 94, passed away on Friday, January 2, 2026. Born in Hopewell, VA, she was the daughter of the late Ruth and Jesse Manley Caudle. Marlene graduated from Hopewell High School, Class of 1949, and went on to work as a secretary at Kelly Girls and Fort Lee, before eventually retiring from John Tyler Community College. She was a devoted member of Order of the Eastern Star, chapter Mt. Jackson Eastern Star, and also could often be found writing poetry. Marlene was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmom, who was greatly loved and will be missed. To cherish her memory, Marlene leaves behind her loving husband of 75 years, Harold A. Jinkins; four children, Marie Post (Tom), Betty Kramer, Joan Pugh (Scott), and Nancy Jinkins; six grandchildren, Jennifer Whitmire (Troy), Kent Burch (Teresa), Steven Kramer (Kate), Kara Kramer, Jesse Pugh (Suzy), and Elizabeth Sarver (Berend); and six great-grandchildren, Avery and Britton Whitmire, Marley and Ruthie Sarver, and Benjamin and Rachael Burch. A graveside service for Marlene will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Friday, January 9, 2026, at Sunset Memorial Park, Chester, VA. The family is being served by the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home.
