Marifred Stevens Stalker

Marifred Stevens Stalker, 93, of Chester, Virginia, passed away on September 8, 2026. She was born in Hopewell, Virginia on May 2, 1933 and was preceded in death by her parents, James F. and Mary G. Stevens; her brother, Robert N. Stevens; her sister, Betty S. Jacques; and her daughter, Robin G. Stalker.

She is survived by her daughter, Valerie S. Wiggins (Daniel) of Prince George; son, Robert (Hanna) Stalker of Midlothian; granddaughter, Jessie L. Wiggins; and grandsons, Adam Wiggins, Cameron Stalker, Andrew Stalker, and Ryan Stalker.

After her family and Bailey the cat, her loves were tennis and bridge. The family would like to express a sincere "thank you" to everyone who shared in Marifred's life and expressed their affection for her. Marifred's family finds great comfort in knowing that there are so many great memories that will last forever.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 17, 2026, at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Appomattox Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the SPCA.
