Marian Reed "Sally" Wilson, 92, of Hopewell, VA, died peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, after a brief illness. Born and raised in Prince George, VA, Sally was the daughter of the late George Reed and Elsie Mae Williams Fauntleroy. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, Jimmy Wilson. She was a loving wife, mother, and Nanny. Sally devoted many hours volunteering at Disputanta Antique Mall. She loved buying and selling glassware. Sally and Jimmy owned Wilson's Antiques, in Hopewell, for over 50 years. She retired from ALMAC at Fort Lee, after 30 years of service. She loved yard sales, flea markets, auctions, and was a very accomplished bowler, even competing in and winning several televised tournaments.
She is survived by her daughter, Gayle Wilson Crawford; her favorite son-in-law, Daryl Crawford; granddaughters, Lauren Mae Yemma (Mitch), and Kaitlyn Crawford Hodson (Robert); bonus grandson, Noah Hodson; and devoted friend, Leah Morgan. She also leaves behind her beloved fur grand-babies, Dixie Lee, Tippy, Jake, Snickers, Dottie, Chessie, Callie, Moose, and Turbo.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., on Friday, January 31, 2025, at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at the funeral home, with Pastor Brian Harrison officiating. Interment will follow at Blandford Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Courthouse Cats, P.O. Box 131, Prince George, VA 23875.
