Maria Christina Barton

Maria Christina Barton, 68, of Hopewell, passed away on Friday, April 1, 2016. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hermann Erich and Wilhelmina Schroth Bertermann; and her husband, Charles James Barton. Maria worked for Walmart, store # 1424 in Colonial Heights, for over 25 years. She is survived by her daughter, Maria Russell and husband, Matthew; son, Thomas Barton and wife, Tammy; four grandchildren, Damian, Samantha, Erika, and Michael; and other loving extended family. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M., on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., on Friday, April 8, 2016. Interment will take place in Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
