Margaret Pugh Vier

Margaret Ann (Maggie) Vier, 92, departed this life peacefully Sunday, March 23, 2014 with her family by her side after a brief illness. She was preceded in death by her husband, William W. Vier. Left to cherish her memory are her two children, Mollie Anderson (Tommy), William B. Vier, II and a granddaughter, Meghan Anderson along with her many friends in Hopewell, Va. Her greatest joys in life were her family and living her faith. She cherished all of her friends, especially her "swimming buddies" at the Hopewell Community Center, her Thursday morning Bible Study Group, and lunches with her friends at the Quick Lunch. She lived her life to the fullest and always thanked God each day for all of his blessings. She always saw the best in everyone. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at the J. T. Morriss & Son Hopewell Chapel, 820 Broadway Hopewell, Va 23860. The graveside service will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the First United Methodist Church, Hopewell Community Center, or the charity of your choice.
