Margaret Edwards Swinson

Margaret Edwards Swinson was born on December 21, 1932, in Wayne County, North Carolina. She passed away peacefully on October 14, 2025, at the age of 92 in Chesterfield, Virginia, of natural causes.

Margaret married her high school sweetheart and was happily married for 55 years. Three children were born of the marriage and she dedicated her life to creating a warm and nurturing home, always putting the needs of her family before her own. Being a mother was one of the most important parts of Margaret's life, a role that gave her much pride and joy.

Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Eldridge; her parents, Annie Mae and Edgar Edwards; and her son, Richard. She is survived by her daughter, Beverly Roach (Jim) of Forest, Virginia; her son, David Swinson (Katherine) of Chesterfield, Virginia; her daughter-in-law, Deborah Swinson of Chesterfield, Virginia; six grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren. While we grieve her loss, we take comfort knowing that she is together with Eldridge again.

Margaret Swinson will be laid to rest with a graveside service at Sunset Memorial Park on Thursday, October 23, 2025 at 11:00 AM.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Alzheimer's Association in her name.
