Margaret Havice Daughtry

Margaret Virginia Havice Daughtry, 89, of Petersburg, passed away Wednesday, July 10, 2013 in Chester, Virginia after a long illness. She was born on June 5, 1924 to James Franklin Havice and Mable Pearl Wentle Havice in Prince George County, Virginia. Margaret was a faithful member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Colonial Heights. She was retired from civil service at Ft Lee, Virginia after 30 years of faithful service. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 30 years, Theodore Roosevelt Daughtry, a veteran of World War II and a member of the Greatest Generation. She is survived by her daughters, Marilyn Daughtry Romero and her husband, Ronald A. Romero, and Gloria Sue Wyand and her husband, Dennis, who affectionately served as a caregiver to Mrs. Daughtry for many years; a sister, Mary Harvice Clements; four grandchildren, David Romero and his wife, Kristin, Michael Romero and his wife, Ashley, Christopher Buffkin and his wife, Wendi, and Timothy Buffkin and his wife, Heather; eight great-grandchildren, Alexandra Kay Romero, Issac Romero, Kaylee Romero, Zoey Romero, Christopher Buffkin, Michelle Buffkin, Mackenna Buffkin and Tanner Buffkin. Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Saturday, July 13, 2013 in the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service.
