Marc Lee Pettengill

It's with profound sadness to announce the sudden passing of Marc Lee Pettengill, on June 7, 2025. Marc was born on September 2, 1984, to Sharon and Lee Pettengill, in South Portland, Maine, where he grew up and graduated from South Portland High School in 2002. In 2005, Marc moved to Richmond where he's resided for the last 20 years.

He is survived and lovingly remembered by his father, Walter Lee Pettengill (Lucie); his sisters, Lori Bedor (Walter Scott), Amy Tupper (Dave Miller), Jennifer Pettengill (Nathan Boor), Kelly Gonzalez (Marco), and Jessica Tilton. He adored his nieces and nephews, Kyle, Nathan, Ashley, Alex, Elizabeth, Kaylee, Sydney, and Wakefield; as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was predeceased by his mother, Sharon Ann Pettengill; and his grandparents, Leon and Paulita Desjardin and Donald and Elizabeth Pettengill. He will be greatly missed by a myriad of friends from Maine, Vermont, and Richmond; as well as Chelsea Baine and her family.

Fostering his love for music, he was a member of the band Missing One. Shredding his guitar at the Irish Festival or taking the big stage at the National, Marc's talent and passion were undeniable. Marc worked for Siné Irish Pub for nearly 20 years. He adored every patron that became a friend and lived every day with the purpose of brightening someone else's.

We are comforted by the fact that Marc is reunited with his Mom.
