Mac Arthur Pennell, Jr.

Mac Arthur Pennell, Jr., 60, of Blackstone, passed away on Friday, June 20, 2025.

Mac was a giving man, always known for helping and assisting other people. In his spare time, he loved to hunt and fish and he was known for being a patriot. He adored his dog, Scout. Above all else, family mattered the most to him, and he cherished his wife, children, and grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Betty Sue Pennell; his parents, Mac Pennell, Sr. and Daisy Pennell; his children, Lance Pennell (Charity), Tracy Pennell (Johnathan), Robert Nichols (Jennifer), and Tiffany Nichols (Ross); his grandchildren, Raven, Ryver, Robert, Hannah, Matthew, Jaylinn, Makayla, Ayden, Scarlett, and Judson; his brother, Larry Pennell; his two long time best friends, Will Walmsley and Roy Otting; and numerous extended family members and friends.

The family will receive friends at the Dinwiddie Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home, 6616 Boydton Plank Road, on Wednesday, June 25, 2025 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM.
