Lucille Horak Edwards

Lucille Horak Edwards, 96, of Prince George, Virginia, passed away on August 25, 2026.

Born November 10, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Mary Vrable Horak. She is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph F. Edwards; daughter, Kathy Ryan; brothers, William (Buster) Horak and Henry T. Horak; sisters, Pearl Griggs and Elizabeth Clements.

Lucille is survived by her daughter, Denise Edwards; son, David Edwards; five grandchildren, Kristina Ryan, Michael Ryan (Meggie), Colin Ryan (Theresa), Chris Edwards, and Courtney Edwards; and two great-grandchildren, Henry and Patrick.

Lucille enjoyed traveling to casinos and family Sunday dinners.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Monday, August 31, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. The family will receive friends one hour prior at the church at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Church Cemetery. The family is being served by the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home.
