Louise Wright Coleman

March 17, 1950 — June 24, 2025

Louise Wright Coleman, 75, of North Dinwiddie, VA, entered eternal rest on June 24, 2025, after succumbing to an aggressive form of biliary cancer diagnosed in May of 2025. She passed peacefully at Bon Secours Southside Regional Hospital during a prayer with her husband, Clarence Coleman and pastor, Joseph Sung.

Louise was born March 17, 1950, in Delaware, where she resided until moving to Virginia with her husband, Clarence Coleman in 1970. Together they enjoyed spending time together and with family and friends. She worked in education and had a great love for people and especially children. She always had a smile on her face that lit up the room. Louise loved the Lord and it showed. She kept a positive attitude and was an inspiration to others even right up till the end.

Louise Coleman is survived by her loving husband, Clarence Coleman; her sons, David Coleman and Jason (Caitlin) Coleman; her brother, Wilson (Betty) Wright; and her sister, Pat Freeman. Louise was preceded in death by her father, Wilson Wright, Sr.; her sister, Helen Byerly; her brother, Robert Wright; and her sister, Betty Marvel.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, with visitation starting at 10:00 a.m. and the service to follow at 11:00 a.m., at Kenwood United Methodist Church, 25200 Ritchie Avenue, North Dinwiddie, VA 23803.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Kenwood United Methodist Church in Louise's memory.

Her gentle nature and kind heart made everyone feel like family, and she will be missed by many. Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted (Matthew 5:4). May we find peace that Louise has claimed her crown and is with Her Father in heaven, God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away (Revelation 21:4). Louise never met a stranger and told everyone she met or passed to "Have a blessed day" and that is the same wish we have for you. May you have a blessed day!
