Linda Poarch Vaughan

Linda Poarch Vaughan, 71, of North Dinwiddie, VA, passed away on Thursday, January 1, 2026. Born in Petersburg, VA, she was the daughter of the late Modie and Ollie Poarch; and was also preceded in death by her husband, Larry Herbert Vaughan, Sr.; and a sister, Charlotte Andrews. Mrs. Vaughan had retired from Titmus Optical, as an Inspector, after many years of dedicated service. She enjoyed fishing, doing yard work, and loved socializing with her friends at various local restaurants. She will be remembered by her family as a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. Mrs. Vaughan is survived by her five children, Stacey Reed (Jerry), Larry "Herbie" Vaughan, Jr. (Cissy), Darryl Vaughan (Bonnie), Sharon Vaughan, and Chris Vaughan (Sheri); nine grandchildren, Hunter, Preston, Dillyn, Chuck, Rusty, Darryl Jr., David, Alex, and Nathan; devoted granddaughter-in-law, Hannah; several great-grandchildren; devoted sister, Sanda Griffin; one brother, Robert Poarch (Barbara); sister-in-law, Geraldine Markham; and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 5:30 p.m., on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at the Dinwiddie Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
