Kelly Leys Olazabal

Kelly Leys Olazabal went to be with our Lord and Savior on September 4, 2026. She leaves behind a legacy of love, friendship, and cherished memories that will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Kelly was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Samuel and Julia Leys.

She is survived by her loving husband, Jorge; her daughter, Ashley (Mitchell); her stepchildren, Diana (Ariel) and Leonel; her grandchildren, Wyatt, Kelly, and Jorge; her siblings, Kimberly (Rocky) and Brian (Sherry); her nephew and nieces, Brittany, Hunter, and Brylee; her loving aunt, Grace (John); her dedicated and caring cousin Melissa (Reggie); and numerous extended family members and friends who loved and cared for her dearly.

Kelly loved her family deeply and found joy in the simple things in life. She especially enjoyed spending time at the beach, shopping, and camping. Throughout 29 years in various positions at Sam's Club, Kelly made countless friendships and touched the lives of many people who will remember her fondly. Kelly will be deeply missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing and loving her. Her memory will remain in the hearts of her family and friends, and the love she shared with them will never be forgotten.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, at Calvary's Love Ministries at 118 South 11th Avenue in Hopewell. A visitation will take place one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Blandford Cemetery in Petersburg, Virginia. The family is being served by the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home.
