Kathleen Elder Kenney

Kathleen Elder Kenney, 82, of Hopewell, widow of Donald L. Kenney, passed away Saturday, November 24, 2012. Born in Petersburg, she was the daughter of the late Herbert James and Cora Drumwright Elder. Mrs. Kenney was a devout Christian and was devoted to her sister, brother, and nieces. She is survived by her sister, Nadine E. Ridout and fiancé, Jesse Vaughan; brother, James H. Elder; nieces, Victoria R. Costley and husband, Bucky, Sandra R. Heath, and Sharon R. Chapman and husband, Dickie all of Petersburg. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, November 25th at the Petersburg Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service. A graveside funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday at Blandford Cemetery with Rev. Robert Livesay officiating.
