Katheryn "Kathy" Drummond

Katheryn "Kathy" Drummond, 78, of Hopewell, VA, passed away on October 7, 2026. Born in Hopewell, VA, she is the daughter of the late William and Marion Drummond. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her grandparents, Willie and Josie Wells; and her sister, Carolyn Drummond. She is survived by many cousins, including Clarence "Tommy" Wells (Judith), Billy Wells (Theda), and Jeanie Rozamus (Lynnie).

Kathy was a devoted member of Powers Memorial Baptist Church. She loved her church family, and her presence at the church will be deeply missed by all.

The family would like to thank Reverend Pat Crump and Kathy's neighbors for their generosity, care, and compassion throughout Kathy's later years.

A memorial service will be held at Powers Memorial Baptist Church, 2807 Jackson Street, Hopewell, VA, 23860 at a date to be announced. The family is being served by the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home.
