Kate J. Rogers

Kate Jones Rogers, 87, of Prince George, passed away on July 21, 2013. Born in Meriwether Co., Georgia, she was the daughter of the late John Henry and Ida Lee Jones. Mrs. Rogers was a member of Cawson Street Church of Christ in Hopewell, VA. She is survived by her husband, James C. Rogers; a son, James Michael Rogers and wife, Sharon; two grandchildren, James Nathan Rogers and wife, Robyn, and Stephanie French and husband, Henry “Trey”; five great-grandchildren, Katelyn Michelle Rogers, Hunter Winfield French, Andrew Clayton French, Jacob Rogers French and Nathan Wyatt French; two sisters-in-law, Adilene Rogers and Lucille Granger; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss and Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 24, 2013 at Cawson Street Church of Christ, with Mural Worthey, officiating. Interment will follow in Appomattox Cemetery, Hopewell, VA.
