Julius Ray Hudson

Julius Ray Hudson, Jr., of Hopewell, passed away June 16, 2025. Born and raised in Hopewell, VA, he is survived by his father, Julius Hudson, Sr.; his son, Julius Hudson III and wife, Ashley, and their children, Aaron and Bryan Hudson; daughter, Jenna Hudson, and her son, Andrew Hudson; brother, Jeff Hudson, his wife, Billie, and their children, Jessica and Jordan; his brother, Jody Hudson and his son, William; his sister, Tina Hudson; his wife, Jennifer Hudson and four stepchildren. He is preceded in death by his mother, Nancy Hudson. He was a loving father, grandfather, son, brother and friend. He was a giving and caring person, taking care of everyone when he had the means. His favorite season was winter, for any chances of snow, and Christmas was his favorite holiday. A true nerd at heart, he loved things like Marvel and DC comics, Star Wars/Star Trek, Dungeons and Dragons, and sports such as football, baseball, basketball, wrestling, and racing. Though his passing was unexpected, he is no longer in pain and is once again whole and at peace. A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, July 12, 2025 at Life Church, 112 S. 12th St. Hopewell, VA 23860.
