Julie Anne Logan Durham, 40, of Dinwiddie, Va., passed away on Monday, August 4, 2014. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Helen Dereski Sears; paternal grandmother, Thelma Claytor; three aunts, Sandra Y. Wyatt, Darleene Sears Farley, Jackie Browder. Julie was a 1992 graduate of Thomas Dale High School and was a student at Phyllis Ackerman School of Dance for 14 years. As a child and teenager she competed in and won several beauty pageants and talent competitions. She loved dancing, watching Nascar and watching her son, Steele play football, basketball, soccer and swimming. Julie is survived by her loving husband and best friend, Eric T. Durham; son, Logan Steele Peden; two step-children, Anna and Zane Durham; parents, HoBo and Charlene Logan; mother and father-in-law, Mary Frances and Rodney Durham; Godfather, Darrell Sears; Godmother, Mary Frances Pito; three special cousins, Sherry Henderson, Joanna Farley, Katy McArthur; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family and friends. Family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, August 8, 2014 at the Hopewell Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Service. A funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 9, 2014 also at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Appomattox Cemetery.
