Juanita Harris Surdam

Juanita Harris Surdam, of Chesterfield County, VA., passed away peacefully on June 3, 2026. Juanita was welcomed into heaven by her two sons, Mark and Wayne.

Juanita worked as a secretary at Central State Hospital until retiring in 1995. In retirement, she devoted her time and resources to caring for homeless animals, ensuring they had food, shelter, and medical care. Juanita is survived by her daughter, Valerie Reid.

A graveside service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on June 15th at Blandford Cemetery in Petersburg, VA. The family has requested to send flowers or plant a Memorial Tree in her memory. These condolences may be registered at www.jtmorriss.com.
