Joyce Eirene Dinger

Joyce Eirene Dinger, of Bluefield, West Virginia, gained her wings on August 18, 2026, surrounded by the love that meant so much to her throughout her life.

Joyce was a devoted Christian whose faith was at the heart of who she was. She cherished her family above all else and considered them her greatest blessing and most prized possession. She was a woman who loved life, loved people, and found joy in music, travel, dancing, fellowship, and serving her community.

Joyce retired from the government after a career of service. In her retirement, she enjoyed traveling, singing in the choir, and dancing. She was also actively involved with the Moose Lodge, and was a member of the American Legion and the VFW. Her faith and her love for others touched many lives.

Joyce was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Philip and Irene Erickson of Hartford, Connecticut, and her brother, Arthur Erickson.

She leaves behind her three loving children, Linda Warren (Alan Presley), of Bluefield, West Virginia, Michael Dinger, of Hegins, Pennsylvania, and Brenda Lutz (Larry Lutz), of Triangle, Virginia.

Joyce's legacy continues through her eight grandchildren, Eric Warren (Aimee Eglinton), of New Hampshire, Michelle Clark (David Clark), of Hopewell, Virginia, Michael Hill and Kristina Dinger, of Hegins, Pennsylvania, Christopher Dinger, Cheyenne Dinger, and Kelly Lutz, of Triangle, Virginia, and Kimberly Lutz (Erik Elliott, Jr.), of Spotsylvania, Virginia.

She was also blessed with eight great-grandchildren, Jon Clark and Robert Clark, of Hopewell, Virginia, Anna Clark (Avery Latta), of Henrico, Virginia, Taylor Ruch and Talan Helt, of Hegins, Pennsylvania, LJ Dellinger, of Triangle, Virginia, and Kyro Elliott, Marcel Jeune, and Lucas Eglinton.

Joyce also had a special place in her heart for her beloved cats, who brought her companionship and happiness.

Though her family will deeply miss her beautiful smile, laughter, loving heart, and joyful spirit, they can find comfort knowing that Joyce is now at peace and has gained her heavenly wings. Her faith has become sight, and she is home with her Lord.

A funeral service for Joyce will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at Woodlawn Baptist Church, 3512 Virginia Street, Hopewell, Virginia. Visitation will be one hour prior from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the church. Following the service, Joyce will be laid to rest at Merchants Hope Memorial Gardens in Prince George, Virginia. A luncheon will be held following the interment service in the Fellowship Hall at Woodlawn Baptist Church, where family and friends are invited to gather, share memories, and celebrate Joyce's life.

Joyce's journey on earth has ended, but the love she gave and the memories she created will never fade. She leaves behind a family who loved her dearly and a legacy that will continue through her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and all those whose lives she touched.

Rest peacefully, Joyce.
Your earthly journey is complete.
Your wings are earned.
Your home is Heaven.
And your family will carry your love in their hearts forever.
