Joseph Michael Sebera

Joseph Michael Sebera, 16, of Spring Grove, passed away on Friday, February 7, 2014. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Emerson W., Sr. and Rena Tyus Sebera; and two uncles, George and Douglas Cox; Joseph is survived by his mother, Angela Cox Sebera (David Barker); father, Emerson William Sebera, Jr.; maternal grandparents, Benston and Dorothy Cox; brother, Nicholas “Nick” Sebera; three aunts, Janice Cox, Robin Piner, and Holly Stables; step-mother, Linda Hess Sebera; step-sister, Mary Anne Morris; step-niece, Olivia Grace Culbreth; and numerous other extended family and friends. The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm on Monday, February 10, 2014 at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted immediately following at 3:00 pm. Interment will follow in Merchants Hope Memorial Gardens. Joseph had a love for all animals. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be donated for homeless animals to Crater Road Veterinary Hospital, 464 S. Crater Rd., Petersburg, VA 23803.
