Jose Melbert

Jose E. Melbert died Saturday September 10, 2011. Jose was a SSG in the United States Army
Stationed at Fort Lee, Virginia where he was an Automated Logistics Specialist Instructor at the Quartermaster School. He was a devoted husband to his wife Johanna A. Melbert and father to his two sons, Jose E. Melbert, Jr. and Jordan A. Melbert. Jose was the son of Alfred King and Melba Melbert of Alexandria, LA., and is survived by a brother, Jailyn and a sister Shandreka Carter and her husband Henry, and also a niece Akiya Carter, all of Alexandria, LA. The family will receive friends at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home Tuesday September 13, 2011 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, a funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel Wednesday September 14, 2011 at 1:00 PM, interment will be in Raleigh Memorial Gardens in North Carolina, Thursday September 15, 2011 at 1:00 PM.
