Jonathan Alan Weston

Jonathan Alan Weston, 32, of Hopewell, passed away on Thursday, August 1, 2013. He is survived by his parents, Rodney and Patricia Smith Weston; brother, Matt Weston and his wife, Christine; nephew, Colby Weston; nieces, Madison and Sydney Weston; grandmother, Louise Sober; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and other extended family and friends. Jonathan was a life long resident of Hopewell and a graduate of the class of 2000. Mr. Weston was employed as a machinist for Alstom Power. He was a faithful member of St. James Catholic Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 4568. Jonathan enjoyed fishing and hunting and was a member of the Prince George Hunt Club where he served as an Officer. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lee and Elizabeth Weston, Eugene Sober and Floyd Lee Smith. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, August 5, 2013 at the Hopewell Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Service. A Mass of Christian Burial Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 6, 2013 at St. James Catholic Church, 510 Poythress Street, Hopewell, Virginia. Interment will follow in Appomattox Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to VCU Massey Cancer Center, Bone Marrow Transplant Unit, P.O.
