John Samko Iii

John “Tim” Samko, III, 74, of Chester, passed away on July 18, 2013. He was the son of the late John Samko, Jr. He was a scripture chairman for the Gideon International, and was also an active member of Calvary’s Love Ministries. He loved the Lord, his family, and he was loved by all who knew him. Mr. Samko is survived by his wife of 46 years, Virginia W. Samko; two daughters, Melissa S. Muncy and husband, Adam, and Francy S. Daniels and husband, Joshua; a grandson, Burt Timothy Daniels; and his mother, Edna Boothe Samko. The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 21, 2013 at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss and Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, July 22, 2013 in Calvary’s Love Ministries Church, with the Pastor Rocky Shearin, officiating. Interment will follow in Bermuda Memorial Park, Chester, VA. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Gideon International or Calvary’s Love Ministries.
