John David Jones, Jr.

John David Jones, Jr., 64, of Chester, VA, died August 8, 2025. He was born in Arkadelphia, AR, to John D. Jones, Sr., and the late Velma Kirksey Jones. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Michelle Virginia Franklin Jones; sons, John D. Jones III and Shane F. Jones; and daughter, Robyn A. Jones, aka Kimberly. Also, by one sister, Leslie K. Jones; and predeceased by one brother, Randall S. Jones. Also, survived by many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be conducted at 2pm, Thursday, August 14, 2025, at New Song United Methodist Church, at 7450 Colts Neck Road, Mechanicsville, VA. The family will receive family and friends immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
