John Bishop

John Roland Bishop, 75, of Dinwiddie died Thursday, February 02, 2006 at Southside Regional Medical Center. He was a native and life-long resident of Dinwiddie and was the son of the late Ernest Garland Bishop, Sr. and Beulah Lamm Bishop. He was a retired machine operator for Brown & Williamson Tobacco Corp. and was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Joyce R. Bishop; four nieces and their husbands, Sandra and Louis Underhill, Sheri and Stan Kennedy, Lori and John Harrington and Becky and Kevin O?Conner; and a sister-in-law, Elizabeth S. Bishop. Graveside services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. in Southlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the Petersburg Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service on Sunday from 3 to 5 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Dinwiddie Emergency Crew or a charity of your choice.
