Joan Radcliff Lambert

May 20, 1949 — October 7, 2025

It is with deep love and sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister, Joan Radcliff Lambert, who departed this life on October 7, 2025, at the age of 76.

Joan was born on May 20, 1949, in Edenton, North Carolina, to Wiley and Marguerite Radcliff. She devoted her life to her family and her work as an Art Instructional Aide at Woodlawn Elementary and Harry E. James Elementary, where she shared her creativity and kindness with countless students.

Her greatest joy was her family, and she cherished every moment spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Joan had a passion for creativity-she loved making holiday cards and scrapbooking her family's special moments, ensuring memories were lovingly preserved for generations to come.

Joan leaves to cherish her memory, her daughters, Denise Price (Chris) and Stephanie Griffin (Neal); her grandchildren, Nicholas Price (Ashby), Spencer Griffin, and Emiley Griffin; and her great-grandchildren, Cooper Gallant and Gavin Price. She is also survived by her sister, Barbara Levine (Ray); brother, Wiley E. Radcliff, Jr. (Ellen); as well as many nieces and nephews who adored her.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles L. Lambert; her parents, Wiley E. and Marguerite Radcliff; and her granddaughter, Morgan Faith Griffin.

A viewing will be held on Sunday, October 12, 2025, from 3pm to 5pm, at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home in Hopewell, Virginia. The funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m., on Monday, October 13, 2025, also at J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home, followed by interment at Appomattox Cemetery in Hopewell, Virginia.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Joan R. Lambert Tribute Page at http://act.alz.org/goto/Joan_Lambert in Joan's memory.

Her gentle spirit, love for family, and artistic heart will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew her.
