Jo Hang Suk McCann-Mars was born on December 17, 1955. Jo was known for her boundless love, steadfast faith in God, and unmatched generosity. She was a nurturing presence to everyone around her, always ready to care for others, and ready to share her warmth to anyone. Jo was a talented cook and took pride in hosting friends and family, refusing to let anyone leave her house hungry. She impacted lives by her kindness, her angelic voice, and unwavering selflessness. Jo allowed her life to be defined by music, love, and most importantly, her faith.
Jo's faith in God was unwavering and never faulting. Her faith guided every action and interaction with others. She remained an active and devoted member of the Memorial Chapel. She shared her talents with the church through her participation in the choir and volunteering at events such as vacation bible school.
Jo recently retired after almost 30 years of a fulfilling career as a pediatric dental assistant. Through her career, she created her own PDOVA family. From gifting every coworker their Christmas socks, to being there to listen for their needs as well. The bonds created by Jo will be forever held by those of PDOVA.
To her family, Jo was lovingly known as "Grandma", a role she took with grace and appreciation. She embraced her children and grandchildren with unconditional love, showering them with affection, support, wisdom, and anything they asked.
On December 11, 2024, the Lord called for the most beautiful soul on the earth to join His Heavenly choir.
