Jennifer L. Benzenhafer

Jennifer L. Benzenhafer was born April 7, 1969. She passed away on October 29, 2026, after a period of pancreatic cancer.

Jennifer worked for 37 years with DSCR in Richmond, Virginia until her retirement. She treasured her three dogs and cats. Jennifer had a passion for gardening, and she loved displaying her inflatables during the holidays. She also loved Nags Head, the Jersey Shore and Cape May.

Jennifer leaves behind her husband, Fred; her two daughters, Ashley Ralls (David) and Kimberly Meloy; grandchildren, Nathan and Aiden Ralls, Harper Meloy-Comer, Kamden Meloy -Comer, Mason Lewis and Karter Lewis; her mother and stepdad, Linda and Gary Cooper; her two sisters, Rececca DeSalvo and her husband, Jay, Amanda Lewis and her husband, Scott; two nieces, Hannah Crites and Hayley Miller; and her nephew, Seth Carlson. Jennifer will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

A funeral service will be held at the Dinwiddie Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son on Wednesday, November 4, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be private.
