Jeannie England Lubman

Jeannie England Lubman was born on June 29, 1952, to Harold and Marie England. She passed away peacefully on September 15, 2026. As she left behind her life on earth, her loving family was by her side.

Jeannie will be remembered for her kindness and generosity, as well as her warmth and quiet strength. Her life was dedicated to the Lord and her family. She had fulfilled our mother's wish to take care of her sister and brothers, a job she did very, very well. She spent the better part of her life doing just that. We are grateful for all Jeannie has done for us, and she will be greatly missed.

She was a graduate of Hopewell High School. She then attended Longwood College, where she acquired a Bachelor of Arts degree. She went on to teach English in the Prince George County school system for around thirty years. She married Robert "Bob" S. Lubman in 1999.

Jeannie leaves behind her siblings, David, Cathie, and Stephen; her nieces, Catherine and Patricia; and her great-nieces, Jaelynn and Sadie. She is preceded in death by her husband, Bob Lubman and her parents, Marie and Harold England.

A funeral service will be held at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home on Monday, September 21, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Merchants Hope Memorial Gardens. A visitation for Jeannie will take place the night prior at the funeral home on Sunday, September 20, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or First Baptist Church of Hopewell, 401 N. Second Ave, Hopewell, VA 23860.
