Jean L. Harvey

Jean L. Harvey, 84, of Richmond, VA, passed away on October 10, 2025. Born in Portsmouth, VA, to the late Arthur and Ida Leitner; she is also preceded in death by her loving husband, Harold R. Harvey, Jr.; and her brother-in-law, Steve Harvey.

Jean taught English at Meadowbrook High School for four years and always enjoyed seeing her former students in the community. She met her husband, Harold, through the Methodist church community and devoted many years to ministry in Methodist youth services.

Jean is survived by her son, Richard A. Harvey (Misty), of Sedalia, MO; daughter, Miranda H. Dayton (Keith), of North Chesterfield, VA; grandsons, Clayton Southard, Grayson Harvey, and Jadon Harvey; granddaughter, Lucy Harvey; brother-in-law, Tommy Harvey; and a host of extended family member and friends.
