Janie Newton Puckett

Janie Newton Puckett, 79, passed away on Tuesday, June 9, 2026. She was born and raised in Hopewell, VA, to the late Edward and Helen Newton. She is also preceded in death by her brothers, Charles and Bubba Newton; and her sister Kathleen Stanley. She is survived by her, sister, Doris Puckett; as well as several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00am on Wednesday, June 17, at Sunset Memorial Park. The family is being served by the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss and Son Funeral Home.
