Janie Louise Martin Brooks, 81, of Dinwiddie, passed away Tuesday, July 05, 2011. Born in Halifax County, VA, she was the daughter of the late Willie Herbert and Erma Compton Martin. Family members include: her sons, Raymond Brooks and Franklin Brooks both of Dinwiddie; brothers, James Martin, John Martin, Joe Martin, Lee Martin and Willie Herbert Martin, Jr. all of Halifax, VA; sisters, Evelyn Suitt of North Carolina, Marion Clayton of south Chesterfield Coutny, Brenda Hancock, Betty Martin and Judy Martin all of Halifax; very special nephew, Joseph Brooks of Dinwiddie
