Janet Pecht Brockwell, 92, of Carson, VA, went to be with the Lord on November 22, 2024, at her home. She was born September 25, 1932, to the late Bruce and Goldie Pecht. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Brockwell; brother, Charles Pecht (Lucille); and twin sister, Joyce Cassidy. She leaves to cherish her memory: son, Steve Brockwell (Jenny); daughters, Betty Darby (Buddy), Barbara Gilliam (Mack), Lisa Christopher (Tracy), and Stacy Jernigan (Mark); eleven grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; brother, Ronald Pecht (Carolyn); and devoted sister-in-law, Donna Mitchell; as well as, numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. Janet was a devout Christian and dedicated member of Shiloh Baptist Church for over 70 years. She was a loving and devoted matriarch, who found joy in the simple pleasures of life, like watching birds, attending church, and most importantly, spending time with her family. Her gentle spirit and kind heart were a blessing to all who knew her. She never spoke a harsh word and always sought to bring peace and harmony to those around her. Family was her greatest treasure and she will be deeply missed, but forever cherished in our hearts. Crowned by love and cherished by many, she will forever be the Queen of Carson. A funeral service will be held at 11am, on Tuesday, November 26, 2024, at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. Entombment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Shiloh Baptist Church, Carson, VA.
