Jane Allen Davis

Jane Allen Davis, 93, of Ford, VA, passed away on Thursday, May 21, 2026. Born in Meherrin, VA, she was the daughter of the late Conry and Sara Mae Allen; and was also preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Horace A. Davis; her son, Allen W. Davis; a son-in-law, John W. Crowder; three sisters, Margaret Spivey, Eloise Davis, and Connie Angel; and one brother, Mike Allen.

Mrs. Davis spent her life taking care of others as a Registered Nurse with many years of dedicated service. She was a longtime devoted member of Corinth Community Church in Ford, VA. She will be remembered by her family as a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister.

Mrs. Davis is survived by her three children, Catherine D. Spain (Carl), Theresa D. Crowder, and Robert H. Davis (Verna); six grandchildren, Curtis Spain (Jamie), April Green (Mike), Christopher Spain (Kathleen), Kyle Davis (Meghan), Cole Davis (Ashley), and Brian Davis (Katelinn); her sister, June A. Folke; two sisters-in-law, Sandra Allen and Barbara Davis; fifteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; special friend, Dot Lewis; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 28, 2026 at Corinth Community Church with Mr. Edward Pearson officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 27, 2026 at the Dinwiddie Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Corinth Community Church Cemetery Fund or to the Ronald McDonald House in Philadelphia or the American Diabetes Association in memory of Jane Davis.
