James Thomas Alan Ward "DooDoobug," was born on July 16, 2024. He gained his wings and entered the gates of heaven on March 2, 2026, where he was met by his Uncle AJ and Uncle Jamesy. James, or "DooDoobug," as his mom loved to call him, enjoyed watching CoComelon with his mommy. He also enjoyed watching wrestling with his Pawpaw and would try to copy those moves on his family. He loved riding around in his Jeep that his momma got him for Christmas. Anyone who knew James knew his smile could light up any room. James is survived by his mother, Cheyenne Ward; his father, Alan Ward; his Nanny and Pawpaw, Mary and Tommy Hamilton; his aunts and uncles, Jennifer (Steven), Tabitha (David), Candice (Jesse), Monica (Lloyd), Shaina (Clint), LJ (Alecia), Jessica, and David; as well as numerous cousins, great-aunts, and uncles.
James was loved and cared for by his extended family. The family would like to extend a very special thank you to Stacy Stevens and her family for everything they have done for the family. The family would like to also thank each and every person that has shown them support by bringing food by the house or calling and texting to check in.
A graveside service honoring the life of James will be held at 2:00pm, on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at Southlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00pm to 8:00pm, on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home.
