James "Jimbo" Coleman Rice, Sr.

James "Jimbo" Coleman Rice, Sr., 72, of Sutherland, VA, died peacefully, surrounded by family in his daughters home on September 17, 2024. He is preceded in death by his son, James C. Rice, Jr. He is survived by his daughter, Annette "Rice" McCracken and her husband, Mark, of Myrtle Beach, SC; and his grandchildren, Emma Conway, Taylor Hines, Caroline McCracken, Eric Rice, Austin McCracken, Katie McCracken, Jonathan Rainey, and Tori Rainey. The family asks for donations to be made to the Dinwiddie Volunteer Fire Department, 13850 Courthouse Rd, PO Drawer 70, Dinwiddie, VA 23841. At his request, no services will be held.
