James Benjamin Phelps, Sr.

James Benjamin Phelps, Sr., 72, of Hopewell, passed away on Monday, December 2, 2013. He was the son of the late Joshua Phelps and Nettie Long Phelps. Mr. Phelps retired from Hercules after many years of service. He enjoyed working in his yard and being outside and fishing in his boat. He is survived by his wife, Theresa Phelps; daughters, Pamela Wray and her husband, Dennis, Tammala Massey, Cammala Hardy and her husband, Duane; son, James Benjamin Phelps, Jr.; grandchildren, Marcus, Jennifer, Matthew, Lenny, Alan, Andrew, Dillon, Dalton; Six great-grandchildren and extended family and friends. A graveside service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, December 6, 2013 in Southlawn Memorial Park, with Pastor Bobby Lane, officiating.
